We have a wonderful Gospel opportunity at Camp Rhino this week! We are hosting a group of 229 high school seniors and staff from a local public school for seven nights as the students prepare for their final exams. On their first evening, I had the privilege of preaching the Gospel to the entire group. Before they leave, I will preach to them again and give them gift bags provided by one of our supporting churches. Please pray that these students will believe the Gospel. Several live near our church, and I hope to begin weekly Bible studies with them after their stay.

My daughter Addison and I also joined a group from Newton Park Baptist Church for a weeklong mission trip to help Noah and Tristan Wilkerson in Mbombela, about 16 hours from our home. I drove our 15-passenger van while my cousin Jeremy drove the other van. Visiting another city reminded me how great the need is throughout the world. We want not only to serve as missionaries in South Africa but also to help raise up missionaries from South Africa. Please pray that God will use trips like this to stir hearts toward missions.

While we were there, I had the privilege of leading a man named Victor to Christ who had been attending the church. Please pray for Victor as he grows in his new faith.

We are also looking forward to welcoming Evangelist Scott Pauley and members of his Enjoying the Journey Ministries team December 1–13, 2027, for a citywide evangelistic campaign and teen camp at Camp Rhino. We are honored to have them coming and excited about how the Lord will use this time. If you would like to apply to join this missions team, visit ProjectSouthAfrica.com.

Updates, Praises, & Prayer Requests
Emilee is filling her calendar as she raises support, with the goal of returning to South Africa full time by May 2027. This week, she arrives for a two-week visit, bringing a family from our church and Alexa, our mission board president’s daughter, to take part in the ministry. Please pray for their visit and for Emilee’s remaining support.

Needs for the Ministry

As more people come to Camp Rhino, we need additional accommodation and improvements to our electricity and water systems. Please pray with us about these projects:

  • Missions team lodge: A supporting church has given $5,000 toward this eight-bedroom project. We need approximately $40,000 more to complete it and hope to have it ready by the U.S. summer of 2027, Lord willing.
  • Two additional girls’ dorms: These will cost approximately $20,000 and bring the number of girls’ dorms up to the number we have for the boys.
  • Solar power and water storage: We need approximately $18,000 to improve these systems so we can better accommodate the growing number of campers.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. You have a part in these opportunities to share the Gospel and prepare others to serve!
