Emilee Coffey is a single missionary with Vision Baptist Missions, raising support to return to South Africa and serve alongside her parents, Mark and Amy Coffey, full time. Having grown up on the field, she is preparing to help a local church reach its community, disciple believers, and support the ongoing work of Camp Rhino, the Rhino Youth Home, and visiting mission teams.

Meet Emilee
Emilee is Mark and Amy’s oldest daughter. She grew up in a missionary home and was involved in ministry in South Africa until she was nineteen. After returning to the United States, she attended the Vision School of Missions. Following graduation, she served for about two years at the Vision Baptist Missions Home Office before preparing to return to South Africa.
Her testimony
Emilee trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior at six years old after a Sunday evening service. She understood that good works, church attendance, and Christian parents could not save her; her hope was in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross. A few years later, she followed the Lord in believer’s baptism.
In fifth grade, before her family moved to South Africa, she surrendered her life to serve the Lord wherever He led. At fifteen, while on furlough, she became more conscious of the importance of a growing personal relationship with Him. She looks back on her training and ministry experience with gratitude for God’s guidance and is trusting Him as she raises support to return as a single missionary.
Training and ministry experience
- 2021–2023: Attended the Vision School of Missions.
- 2022–2023: Interned at Whitfield Baptist Church.
- 2024: Interned in Argentina with the Henry family.
- 2024–2026: Served at the Vision Baptist Missions Home Office.
Her planned ministry in South Africa
Emilee’s focus is to help a local church disciple believers and reach its community with the Gospel. She also plans to assist Mark with administrative responsibilities connected to the Rhino Youth Home, Camp Rhino, and mission teams that visit throughout the year.
These opportunities will allow her to invest in people, support the missionaries and local believers already serving, and help visitors see ministry firsthand. Her sending church’s desire is that she will invest in young women and help them learn to disciple others.
