Christmas camps are almost here! Our summer teen and junior camps take place during the first two weeks of December, and we are expecting around 250. These weeks give us an opportunity to share the Gospel, build relationships, and help young people grow in their understanding of God’s Word.
Would you prayerfully consider sponsoring a camper for $35? Please pray for the preparations, our camp workers, and especially the hearts of the young people who will attend.
Through Camp Rhino, the Lord has also opened a door for ministry at a high school near our church. I have preached twice to their Grade 12 students during school visits to camp, and this week I have another opportunity to preach to their Grade 10 and Grade 11 classes at their school. The school has approximately 1,500 students, and we hope to build this relationship for years to come. Please pray that these teens will respond to God’s Word and that we can connect them with our church for continued teaching and discipleship.
Updates, Praises & Prayer Requests
We praise the Lord that $10,000 was given for additional dorm space! This provision will enable us to accommodate well over 200 campers at a time.
As we prepare for December, we are also working on several practical improvements:
- Hot water for the dorms: Gas water heaters would help provide consistent hot water for the boys’ and girls’ showers. Our current electric heaters run out quickly when the dorms are full.
- Kitchen preparation: An additional sink would give our kitchen workers more space for preparing meat and vegetables.
- Paths and pavilion paving: We want to improve the pathways between dorms and pave the area beneath our pavilion.
- Evening activities: Lighting for the soccer and game fields, along with a fire pit, would improve our evening camp activities.

Our family will return to the States on March 11, 2027, for two months. During that time, we will participate in our annual mission orientation for new missionaries. I will also report to supporting churches and present our ministry in new churches. If you would like us to visit your church, please let me know.
Needs for the Ministry
As Camp Rhino grows, we are praying about two larger projects:
- Missions team lodge: A supporting church has given $7,000 toward this eight-bedroom project. We need approximately $38,000 more to complete it and hope to have it ready by the U.S. summer of 2027, Lord willing.
- Solar power and water storage: Approximately $18,000 is needed to improve these systems and help us accommodate the growing number of campers.
