It’s the start of a new year and I am excited about the opportunities God is giving up to better serve Him! School has begun for Peyton; and Ashlee and I are still plugging away in language school!
Last week, I gave the announcements at the close of service. I know that doesn’t sound like much, but in Xhosa it can certainly be a challenge. This week, I will be giving a short offering devotion and praying for the offering. I spent some time during class translating the devotion and practicing it with our language school teacher. Please please pray this goes well!
Continue to pray for us to progress in Xhosa! It is the priority at the moment so that we will be better able to reach folks with the gospel, teach and train leaders, and see churches planted all over this country!
I would also ask you to pray about and consider partnering with us financially. Coming into an established ministry has been a great blessing. It has allowed us to learn and be a part of a church family, doing the work of the ministry, all while in language school. It has also given us opportunities to be a blessing to the churches. There are several projects and monthly expenses in which we are able to give to and help support. For example; the camp we helped be a part of last month, or a new speaker and microphone for Soweto Baptist Church. These are great opportunities to help lighten the load and share the burden of our fellow laborers.
I do want to thank you all for your faithful prayers. I am finding that Satan’s attacks can come at the most inconvenient moment and that we must remain diligent to stand against him. Each and every day I am learning that the armour of God is a necessity for battle! Without your faithful prayers, we could easily be overrun! Thank you from my heart to yours for being prayer warriors in our ministry!
